Blowers and Fans
Fans and blowers are frequently used in many different industries. Special Projects International offers several different types of industrial fans and blowers such as positive displacement blowers, centrifugal fans/blowers, multi-stage centrifugal blowers, axial blowers, regenerative blowers, and air knife blowers. Our inventory of fans and blowers consists of trusted manufacturers such as Cincinnati Fan, Hartzell, MAC, Roots, Duro Flow, Gast, American Air Filter, Fuji Electric Company, Spencer, Twin City Fans, Quickdraft, American Air Filter, Gardner Denver, Schwitzer, New York Blower Co., Novatec, Fuller, and more.
Positive Displacement Blowers
Positive displacement blowers work by filling and emptying chambers of a fixed volume which produces flow that is relatively independent of operating pressure. Positive displacement blowers are often used for vacuum processing and conveying within the chemical industry. They can also be used within the cement, plastic, and environmental services industries.
Centrifugal Fans
Centrifugal fans have air or gases entering in the axial direction and being discharged in the radial direction. These blowers have three types of blades for specific applications – radial (straight) blades, forward-curved blades, and backward-curved blades.
Multi-stage Centrifugal Fan
Multistage centrifugal blowers are the ideal solution for processes that require uniform pressure, pulse-free flow, and oil-free operation. Multi-stage centrifugal blowers displace air radially, changing the direction of the air flow. They are sturdy, quiet, reliable, and capable of operating over a wide range of conditions.
Axial Blowers
Axial flow fans are designed to handle very high flow rates and low pressure. The disc-type fans are similar to those of a household fan. The air in these fans enters in an axial direction and leaves in an axial direction. They are usually used for general circulation or exhaust work without ducts.
Regenerative Blowers
Regenerative blowers can be used to remove dust or smoke from the air, extract soil vapor, or perform sewage aeration. They are well-suited for applications that require high rates of air flow at a low pressure, or when a vacuum is required in a process. These blowers are commonly used in the chemical, environmental services, manufacturing, textile, food, and packaging industries.
Air Knife Blowers
Air knife systems discharge pressurized air in order to clean and/or dry a given product, typically in a conveyor belt setting. They’re used to blow off liquids, dust, and debris from a material’s service prior to packaging. Air knife blowers are used in bottling, packaging, food, metal, and flooring industries.
