Sealers
Sealers are industrial machines that are used to seal a bag or container within a production/packaging line. Special Projects International offers several different types of used sealers from well-known manufacturers like Amtech, Belco, Bemis, Cryovac, Eastley, Fischbein, Hanagata, Packrite, Shanklin, Thiele, Weldotron, and Westvaco. The different kinds of used sealing equipment we offer are listed and described below.

Band Type Bag Sealer
Band type bag sealers are machines that consist of two belts (bands) that hold the top of the bag and carry it between heating elements which seal the bag closed. The belts are typically infused with PTFE to prevent sticking. These machines are ideal for high volume packaging and sealing of thermoplastic materials like polyethylene, plastic-lined, foil and gusseted bags of almost any size or length. Band type bag sealers are usually designed as table top or free-standing units.

L-Bar Sealer
L-bar sealers are machines that are designed for larger volumes of shrink wrapping. These machines consist of two sealing bars that make a backwards “L.” The shrink film folds along these bars to create a pocket through the crease of the fold for products to enter. Once the product is placed inside the crease, the other three sides of the shrink film are cut and sealed in one step. L-bar sealers can be automatic or manual machines.

Tube Sealer
Tube sealers are sealing machines that are designed for sealing small batches of tubes. These machines work by first arranging the tubes in a rack that is inserted below the seal bars. Then, the rack is adjusted to the appropriate height so that the top of the tubes may be clamped between the seal bars and eventually welded closed by the heating elements. Tube sealers are commonly used for applications such as cosmetic, personal care, household, and industrial liquids.
