Used Conveyor equipment
Conveyors
Conveyors are machines that are designed to move material from one point to another. Conveyors are used in industrial processes to move different materials from cardboard boxes to loose powder and granules. Conveyors can move material back and forth, up and down, and side to side. Special Projects International offers used conveyor systems for all kinds of processes. The different types of used conveyors we offer are listed and described below.
Belt Conveyor
Belt conveyors are machines that are designed to transport material from one place to another. These machines usually consist of two or more pulleys with a belt that rotates about them. At least one of the pulleys are powered which moves the belt and the material on the belt forward. Belt conveyors are typically used in general material handling such as moving boxes along a process line inside a factory. Additionally, belt conveyors can be used to move large volumes of resources and agricultural materials such as grain, salt, coal, ore, sand, overburden, and more. Our inventory of belt conveyors includes manufacturers like Alliance Bakery Systems, API, Automatic Conveyor Systems (ACS), Dillin Engineered Systems, Dorner, DynaCon, Ermanco, Grand Rapids Label, Huani, Hytrol, Interlake, Keenline, LaRos, Logan, Mac Manufacturing Co., Midwest Packaging Systems, Nercon, New London Engineering, Patz, Portec, QC Industries, Quipp, Rapat, Rhein-Nadel Automation, Roach Conveyor, Smalley, and Versa Conveyor.
Inclined Belt Conveyor
Inclined belt conveyors are machines that are designed to move products upwards without rollback or spillage. Incline conveyor systems are used across a range of industries where products must be moved from one elevation to another. Inclined belt conveyors most commonly handle bag, boxes, cartons, and parts. Our inventory of belt conveyors includes manufacturers like Allen, Anderson Machine Systems, Bryant, Commonwealth Material Handling, Consolidated Engineering Co., Conveyors Plus Inc., Del Packaging, ERICO, EMI, Hytrol, LaRos, Mac Manufacturing Co., Maingley Automation, Nedco, Nercon, New London Machinery, New Way Packaging Machinery, Portec, Rapistan, Roach Conveyor, Scholz Industries, Service Engineering Inc., Span Tech, and Wood Fabrications.
Bucket Elevator
Bucket elevators, also called grain legs, are machines designed to haul flowable bulk materials vertically. Bucket elevators consist of buckets to contain the material, a belt to carry the buckets, and a motor to drive the belt. A bucket elevator can elevate a variety of bulk materials including but not limited to aggregates, animal feeds, calcined coke, coal, fertilizer, flyash, frac sand, minerals, potash, lime, and woodchips. Our inventory of bucket elevators includes manufacturers like Aerocon, Deamco, Gough Econ Inc., New England Machinery, and Young Industries.
Lowerator
Lowerators are conveying machines that are designed to move containers from one elevation to another at line speeds. They are often used for palletizing and depalletizing product. Our inventory of lowerators includes manufacturers like AMBEC, Arrowhead Systems, and Simplimatic Engineering.
Pneumatic Conveyor
Pneumatic conveyors are machines that are designed to move fine, dry material using pressure differentials and a flow of gas. This gas is typically air or nitrogen. The material is totally enclosed within tubes or pipes, so any differences in pressure on either side of the pipe results in the flow of product. Pneumatic conveyors are typically used with materials like powders, pellets, granules, and irregularly shaped particles smaller than 20 mm. Our inventory of pneumatic conveyors includes manufacturers like Arco Wand, Cyclonaire, HIFI, Hi-Vac, Lamson, and Spencer.
Roller Conveyor
Roller conveyors are machines that are designed to move products from one point in a process line to another. They consist of a series of parallel rotating bars that can be powered by gravity or by a motor that drives a chain, belt, or line shaft (Powered Roller Conveyor). Roller conveyors are commonly used in in warehouses or manufacturing facilities to transport heavy boxes. Our inventory of roller conveyors includes manufacturers like BlueARC, Ermanco, Hytrol, Shuttleworth, SIFCO.
Screw Conveyor
Screw conveyors are machines that are designed to move liquid or granular materials from one point in a process line to another. They consist of a rotating helical screw blade (also called an “auger”) within a tube/trough. The material is loaded into the inlet of the trough where it is transferred from one flight to the next as the screw rotates within the trough. Additionally, screw conveyors offer an extremely economical solution for moving a material on a slight upwards incline.
Table Top Conveyor
Table top conveyors are machines that are designed to move a material from one point in a process line to another. The belt consists of flat top plates which are stronger than modular belting and can transport items through production more efficiently and safely. Table top conveyor belts have excellent flexibility for production line layouts, being suitable for curves or changes in elevation, thus streamlining factory operations. Table top conveyors are often designed specifically for high-speed processes. Our inventory of table top conveyors includes manufacturers like Apache, Continental Conveyor, Flexicon, Hapman, Prab, RFM Steel Products, and Sidney Manufacturing Co.
Vacuum Conveyor
Vacuum conveyors are machines that use suction to move materials from one place to another within a process line. Vacuum conveyors are usually powered by a vacuum pump and are suitable for moving bulk dry materials like powders. Our inventory of vacuum conveyors includes manufacturers like Vac-U-Max.
Vibratory Conveyor
Vibratory conveyors use both vibration and gravity to move feed material from one point to another within a process line. The material is loaded onto the conveyor where vibration takes place. The vibrating action causes the feed material to move up and down quickly which enables gravity to take a greater effect and move the product down the line. Vibratory conveyors are commonly used to move fine and coarse materials into mixers, furnaces, production processes, or final storage/shipment containers. Our inventory of vibratory conveyors includes manufacturers like Dickinson, Machine & Conveyor Manufacturing Inc., VAV, and Vibranetics.
Bag Flattener Conveyor
Bag flattener conveyors are machines that are designed to flatten both filled valve bags and open mouth bags in order to make them more uniform in shape before stacking them on a shipping pallet. These machines consist of two conveyors that sandwich the bags, and the pressure can be adjusted on the top conveyor to flatten them out in a uniformed fashion. Bag flattener conveyors can also act as incline conveyors that transport the bags to the inlet of a palletizing station. Our inventory of bag flattener conveyors includes manufacturers like Flexoveyor.
Powered Conveyor Turntable
Industrial conveyor turntables are machines that are designed to change the direction of travel within a process line. These machines can be used for accumulation and for sorting a product into multiple lanes. Powered conveyor turntables are commonly found in manufacturing and distribution centers. Our inventory of powered conveyor turntables includes manufacturers like MAC Manufacturing Co.
Magnetic Incline Conveyor
Magnetic incline conveyors are machines that are designed to move material from one point to another in a process. These machines use equally spaced electromagnets on the bed of the conveyor. By continuously changing the activation and timing of these magnets, any ferromagnetic products will be conveyed. Magnetic incline conveyors are commonly used to move cans, parts, ore, and any other product that responds to magnetic interaction. They are especially useful for moving the magnetic material vertically, inclined, or upside down. Our inventory of magnetic incline conveyors includes manufacturers like Eriez, Livonia Magnetics, Mac Manufacturing Co.
