Used Baler equipment

Balers
Balers and other industrial compactors are used in recycling and compacting industries. Balers (also spelled “bailers”) compress material into easy-to-manage bales to save space and waste removal costs. Special Projects International offers different types of used balers from well-known manufacturers like American Process Systems, Balemaster, General Hydraulics, Product Saver, and more. The types of balers we offer are categorized and described below.

Vertical Baler
Vertical balers process or compress waste material with a downward force. One advantage of vertical balers is their relatively small footprint. Many vertical balers are powered by hydraulic design making them energy and cost efficient. Vertical balers are commonly used to bale cardboard, plastics, and clothes.

Horizontal Baler
Horizontal balers are operated by first filling a hopper with recyclable waste. Once the hopper is full, a ram from the side compresses the material with a horizontal force until the bale is complete. Many horizontal balers also have automatic systems for tying off and ejecting newly-formed bales. Horizontal balers can process and compact a wide variety of materials from cardboard to aluminum to many other non-elastic materials. The horizontal baler design also has a larger footprint than the vertical baler.

Bag Crusher
Bag crushers are used to compact waste. They can be used to minimize the volume of plastic, paper, or woven bags amongst other materials for transportation or storage before recycling or throwing away.

Drum Crusher
Drum crushers, also known as barrel compactors, are machines designed to crush empty 55 gallon drums into small flat disks. Drum crushers are beneficial because they reduce the amount of storage space needed for empty drums, and reduce transportation fees when shipping drums out as scrap metal.
