Used Blister Packer Skin Packer and Thermoformer equipment

Blister Packers, Skin Packers, and Thermoformers
Blister Packaging Machine
Blister packaging machines are designed to package small consumer goods, foods, or pharmaceuticals in several types of pre-formed plastic packaging called “blister packs.” Each individual blister pack consists of a cavity or pocket made from a formable web like a thermoformed plastic. The cavity usually has a backing of paperboard or a lidding seal of aluminum foil or plastic. Blister Packaging Machines are used to protect products against external factors such as humidity and contamination for extended periods of time.

Skin Packaging Machines
Skin packaging machines, also called “vacuum skin packaging machines,” work by combining a high barrier film with a pre-made tray. The film surrounds the product and the air is vacuumed out of the bag. This action reduces almost all of the package atmosphere and the packing material becomes like a second skin. One advantage of skin packaging machines is that it allow the consumer to view the product in its entirety. Skin packaging machines are commonly used to package fresh food products like meat to increase the shelf life.

Thermoforming Machine
Thermoforming machines are designed to heat a plastic sheet to a pliable forming temperature, form the sheet to a specific shape in a mold, and trim the sheet to create a desired product. The sheet (sometimes called “film” when referring to thinner gauges) is heated in an oven to a temperature that is high enough to allow it to be stretched into or onto a mold and cooled to a finished shape. Thermoformed plastics are commonly used in applications like transportation, industrial equipment, aerospace, kiosks, and medical devices.
