Form Fill Sealers
Form fill seal machines are designed to package goods into bags and seal them as part of a production line. The machine works by first unrolling a bag from the supply. Then, the machine forms the bag by feeding the film over a cone-shaped tube which shapes the film into the correct bag size in addition to sealing the bottom and sides of the bag. Next, the bag gets filled by a filling mechanism such as a multi-head scale, auger, or volumetric filler. After the bag is filled with product, the top is sealed and the bag is cutaway. Vertical Form Fill Sealer
Vertical form fill seal machines are designed to fill and seal packages that have a seam down the middle, such as chips. Vertical form fill sealers are fast, economical packaging solutions that conserve valuable plant floor space.
Horizontal Form Fill Sealer
Horizontal form fill seal machines have a similar working mechanism as vertical form fill seal machines but form the bags horizontally by design. These form fill sealers are generally more suitable for bags with seams at the ends, such as tobacco pouches. Horizontal form fill seal machines usually have a larger footprint than vertical form fill seal machines.
