Canning Machines
Special Projects International offers machines designed for use in the processing of canned products. Canning machines are used to make, open, close, dump, or crush cans. Our used canning machines are from well-known manufacturers like Angelus, Canco, Continental, Dixie Canenr, Edlund, and more. The types of used canning machines we offer are listed and described below.

Can Seamer
A can seamer is a machine used to seal the lid of a can to its body. During the can seaming process, the seamer chuck holds the can while the rolls rotate around it. The first operation rolls fold the edges of the lid, and the second operation rolls tighten the resulting seam which seals the can.

Can Opening Machine
Can opening machines, also known as crown punch can openers, are used when high volume is needed. Can opening machines can open a can in a single stroke. These machines are often used inline with a dump station and/or can crusher.
