Labelers
Labelers are used to apply printed material to a bottle, case, or other product. Special Projects offers used labelers from well-known manufacturers like Accraply, Autolabe, CTM Integration, Diagraph, Fuji, Grand Rapids, Hoppman, Ketan, Krones, Label-Aire, LabelPak, Lord, Loveshaw, LSI Labelling Systems, Marsh, Mathews, Meyer, New Jersey, Newway, Phin, Quadrel, Stackpole, Shorewood, Thiele Engineering Co., Versapply, Willett, 3M, and more. The different types of labelers we offer are categorized and described below.

Heat Shrink Labelers
Heat shrink labelers are used to mold plastic labels onto containers. Heat shrink labelers use labels that do not require adhesive. Labels for heat shrink labelers are often made out of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) which is a material that shrinks at low heat while maintaining its high density. For application, the label is loosely fitted over the product. Next, heat is applied to cause the label to shrink and mold itself to the container.

Cold Glue Labelers
Cold glue labelers work with a conveyor system and are suitable for decorative labels. Cold glue labelers are ideal for labeling processes that include heat-sensitive materials. Additionally, cold glue labelers are designed as automatic or semi-automatic to suit specific process needs.

Pressure Sensitive Labelers
Pressure sensitive labels stick to a surface with light or moderate pressure from a label applicator. The amount of pressure needed, the permanence of the label, and the surface the label adheres to is determined by the adhesive. Pressure sensitive labels do not require any heat, solvent, or water to activate. Pressure sensitive labelers can be used on almost any material from glass bottles, to plastics, to metal auto parts and more.

Roll Through Labelers
Roll through labelers work with a conveyor system and are designed to label cylindrical containers. The label is applied to the containers as they “roll through” the machine line.
