Compressors
A compressor is a mechanical device that increases the pressure of a gas by reducing its volume. Special Projects International offers used compressors from well-known manufacturers like Air Tak, CompAir, Ingersoll-Rand, Quincy, Sullair, and more. The types of used compressors we offer are listed and described below.

Air Compressor
An air compressor is a pneumatic device that converts power into potential energy stored in pressurized air. Once the air compressor forces the maximum amount of air into the tank, the compressor turns off and the compressed air is held in the tank until called into use. Air compressors are extremely versatile and are commonly found throughout numerous industries. Just a few examples of industries where air compressors can be found are in the automotive, agricultural, woodworking, and beverage/bottling industries.

Air Dryer
Compressed air dryers are filter systems that are designed to remove water held in compressed air. When air is compressed, its temperature increases along with the presence of atmospheric contaminates – primarily water vapor. As the compressed air cools, the water vapor condenses to a liquid, and is dried by an air dryer located at the output of the air compressor and/or at various locations throughout the distribution system.
